Oak Street Bookkeeping was created by Laima Abbas, a small business owner who understands the needs of small businesses. Laima offers a wide range of services from personal and business bookkeeping to earth friendly office clutter solutions, from start up business set up to advanced training in major accounting software, such as QuickBooks and PeachTree. Laima's goal is to listen to her clients and find the best way to organize their office and/or finances, so it helps save time and resources and increases productivity. Laima's passion is “Green Office”. By example and education, she wants to share this passion with her clients. "I believe that every sheet of paper not wasted, makes a difference. Every e-mail left on the screen, saves a tree somewhere."

Laima Abbas has been involved in accounting and business management since 1995. Her first experiences included management of a family trading business as well as assistant manager at a local food market. Duties included, but were not limited to expense/income tracking, reporting and analysis.

In addition to over 10 years of hands on business management/accounting experience, she holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Associate in Hotel/Motel Management, and Associate in financial accounting. Currently, Laima is completing a Certified Bookkeeper’s Examination through the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
